Global Crisis

‘Global Crisis’ - 2022 Gold Coast Music Award’s Release of the Year - debuted #10 on Australian Independent Record Labels Associations charts and was both 4ZZZ’s & The Faction’s Album of the Week upon release. This record also saw the band nominated as finalists in a number of other award categories:

  • Gold Coast Music Awards (Artist of the Year, Live Act of the Year, Song of the Year, and Video of the year)

  • Queensland Music Awards (Emerging Artist of the Year category and highly commended in the Heavy Music category)

  • Environmental Music Prize 2023

In addition, a number of singles were added to Spotify's editorial Homegrown + Heavy playlist, added to Triple J Unearthed rotation, received plays on the AFL, Rage, and frequent radio play on both Triple J heavy music and daytime radio programs.

Solid Rock // Sacred Ground

September 2022 saw Wildheart named as one of several artists selected to benefit from the Barpirdhila Grant Funding by the Adam Briggs Foundation. Building on the success of their debut album, Wildheart utilised this funding to release their new multi-track ‘Solid Rock // Sacred Ground’ in March 2023, distributed through Bad Apples Music (under Universal Music Group). This release featured an accompanying music video for the lead single titled Sacred Ground - also been nominated as a finalist in the 2024 Queensland Music Awards - as well as a cover of Solid Rock originally performed by musical group Goanna. Both singles received airtime on Triple J’s “Short.Fast.Loud”, “Blak Out” and daytime programming immediately, with Triple J’s Josh Murriel naming Wildheart “one of the best bands running around Brisbane” and Wall of Sound’s Paul Brown remarking that “these two offerings sound miles ahead of what they’ve done in the past”.

It’s easy to see why Wildheart are fast becoming one of the most well-known heavy acts in Queensland, with their take on the metalcore genre noted by Alex Calan of Hysteria as “simultaneously a breath of fresh air and a healthy dose of nostalgia”.
